THE DEAD DON'T TAKE VACATIONS: WICKED WHISPERS UNLEASHES ITS 2027 ROADMAP

Halloween is over. The decorations are coming down. The jack-o'-lanterns are rotting. But something is still scratching at the door...

A message from Wicked Whispers to our beloved Fantoms.

Well, well, well...

Another Halloween has come and gone, and somehow, against all odds, you've survived another season of Wicked Whispers.

Congratulations, Fantoms. We're almost proud of you.

With the release of Wicked Beats VII, another chapter in our annual celebration of all things creepy, campy, and downright disturbing has officially closed. But before you start packing away your plastic skeletons and surrendering your soul to Christmas music, we have a little announcement.

Just because Halloween is over doesn't mean the spooky fun has to end.

In fact, we're just getting started.

Over the past several months, our creative team at FLOCO Media has been hard at work building something considerably larger than another collection of Halloween party tracks. We're expanding Wicked Whispers into a year-round horror entertainment experience, bringing together music, animation, live-action productions, supernatural storytelling, original fiction, and an increasingly interconnected collection of nightmares.

And today, we're pulling back the curtain on what comes next.

THE OFF-SEASON IS OFFICIALLY HAUNTED

Traditionally, Wicked Whispers has been something of a seasonal creature. We emerge from the darkness, unleash our annual collection of musical monstrosities, terrorize the neighborhood for a few weeks, and retreat into our crypt until the following Halloween.

Well, we've decided that's terribly inefficient.

Why should October have all the fun?

Beginning in January 2027, Wicked Whispers will introduce a more consistent, year-round release schedule designed to keep our Fantoms entertained long after the trick-or-treaters have gone home.

Our goal is simple: Make every month a little more Halloween.

First, We Have Some Unfinished Business...

We're still hard at work producing new visualizers for Wicked Beats VII, along with updated visualizers for songs from our earlier releases.

Some of our favorite tracks have been patiently waiting for their opportunity to crawl out of the speakers and onto your screens. We intend to give them exactly that.

Before our annual Christmas production break, which begins around Thanksgiving and extends through the start of January, we're hoping to complete at least four additional visualizers.

These projects will help establish the foundation for our expanded 2027 programming.

And once the holiday break is over?

We're opening the crypt again.

THE 2027 WICKED WHISPERS RELEASE SCHEDULE

Beginning around January, our production goal is to release:

  • Two new music visualizers every month, featuring songs from our current and previous albums.

  • Approximately four new YouTube Shorts every month, featuring original animated content, live-action horror, musical moments, and other supernatural surprises.

  • At least five full-length music videos leading up to the release of Wicked Beats VIII.

  • Additional special features, behind-the-scenes content, and occasional surprises whenever our resident monsters feel particularly restless.

That's roughly six regular video releases per month, not counting our larger productions and special events. Our objective is to gradually bring the entire Wicked Whispers music catalog up to date with new visualizers, original animated or live-action shorts, and more ambitious music videos.

Some productions will be creepy. Others will be funny. A few might be downright ridiculous.

That's part of the charm.

Wicked Whispers has always celebrated the wonderfully strange intersection of horror, music, dark comedy, and Halloween nostalgia. We're not abandoning that identity. We're giving it a much larger playground.

SUMMERWEEN 2027: SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES

Who says you can't celebrate Halloween in the middle of summer?

Certainly not us.

June 2027 will mark the beginning of our official Wicked Beats VIII promotional campaign, when we'll reveal more details about the album, its creative direction, and the horrifying new personality waiting to take center stage.

We'll also be celebrating Summerween with a small collection of special content drops.

These releases will help us finish clearing our existing production backlog while preparing the way for the next major chapter in Wicked Whispers.

Expect a few surprises, some seasonal mischief, and possibly a monster or two who didn't get the memo about staying buried until October.

And speaking of October...

WICKED BEATS VIII — SEPTEMBER 15, 2027

Mark your calendars, Fantoms.

Our next annual Halloween album, Wicked Beats VIII, is scheduled for release on September 15, 2027.

And this time, we're doing things a little differently.

In previous years, our albums have generally arrived alongside an assortment of supporting releases, with visual content continuing to appear throughout the Halloween season.

For Wicked Beats VIII, we're planning a more coordinated and immersive rollout.

Release day will feature several special content drops to celebrate the album's arrival. From there, we'll continue unveiling an expanding collection of visualizers, full-length music videos, behind-the-scenes features, and interviews with the talented cast and crew who helped bring the production to life.

We'll also introduce short animated videos exploring the history and mythology of the horror icon chosen to embody the spirit of Wicked Beats VIII.

Yes, Fantoms.

Our monsters are getting their own stories.

And those stories will become an increasingly important part of the Wicked Whispers experience.

EVERY MONSTER HAS A STORY — THE NEW WICKED BEATS FORMAT

One of our biggest creative changes involves the albums themselves.

Beginning with Wicked Beats VIII, each new Wicked Beats release will feature a central horror icon, or collection of icons, with its own distinctive personality, atmosphere, and narrative.

Rather than simply assembling another collection of spooky party songs, we're developing albums that feel more like miniature horror experiences.

Each album will be built around approximately:

  • 16 themed party tracks, delivering the infectious, creepy, and occasionally outrageous music that defines Wicked Whispers.

  • 8 atmospheric and sound-effects tracks, designed to establish locations, create tension, and immerse listeners in the album's particular nightmare.

  • 2 narrative backstory tracks, introducing the featured horror icon or icons through theatrical storytelling.

That's approximately 26 tracks per album, combining music, atmosphere, and narrative.

We'll also incorporate narrated introductions, interludes, and outros throughout the experience, giving each album a more cinematic structure.

Imagine putting on a Wicked Beats album and hearing the distant creak of a door, the whisper of an unseen figure, or the ominous voice of a storyteller introducing you to the monster waiting inside.

Then the music kicks in.

And the party begins.

Our intention is to make each annual album feel like stepping into a new haunted attraction, complete with its own characters, story, soundtrack, and atmosphere.

The music will still stand on its own, of course. We haven't forgotten that some of you simply want something loud and spooky to blast through your speakers.

But for those Fantoms who enjoy exploring the darker corners of our imagination, there will be an entire world waiting beneath the surface.

INTRODUCING SPOOKY TALES — REAL STORIES, REAL NIGHTMARES

Not all monsters live in our imagination.

Some supposedly live in abandoned houses, forgotten cemeteries, lonely stretches of highway, and places where perfectly reasonable people refuse to spend the night.

And we think those stories deserve a little attention.

Throughout 2027, Wicked Whispers will begin developing Spooky Tales, a new series of short-form horror storytelling features.

Hosted by familiar FLOCO Media talent, including Allie Cat, Abbie, Sam, and other members of our growing creative family, Spooky Tales will explore real-world ghost stories, reported hauntings, local legends, supernatural folklore, and other delightfully unsettling mysteries.

Some stories will be famous.

Others will be obscure.

Some might have perfectly reasonable explanations.

And some will leave you wondering whether that strange noise in the hallway really was the cat.

Each episode will combine atmospheric storytelling with visual elements designed to bring these accounts to life.

Our hosts will guide you through the history, legends, and reported experiences behind each tale, distinguishing folklore from documented events while preserving the mystery that makes these stories so compelling.

After all, a good ghost story doesn't need to be proven true to keep you awake at night.

Sometimes the possibility is frightening enough.

FLOCO & INK: THE NIGHTMARES ARE LEAVING THE SCREEN

Music is only one part of what we're building.

Through FLOCO & Ink, the official publishing imprint of FLOCO Media, we're developing a growing collection of original horror fiction that will complement and expand our creative universe.

October 2027 is shaping up to be a particularly exciting month.

We're currently planning two major publishing releases:

THE NETHERVERSE — BOOK ONE

Our first full-length Netherverse novelization will introduce readers to a darker corner of FLOCO Media's original mythology.

This is the beginning of a much larger fictional universe, one that will gradually expand through additional stories, characters, and supporting productions.

SHIVERWOOD — A NEW HORROR SERIES

Also scheduled to debut in October 2027 is Shiverwood, an entirely new horror fiction series.

We're keeping most of its secrets buried for now, but we can promise that Shiverwood will bring its own distinctive atmosphere, mysteries, and nightmares to our growing catalog.

In addition to these major releases, FLOCO & Ink will develop shorter supporting horror tales set within both the Netherverse and Shiverwood universes.

These stories will help introduce characters, expand existing lore, and offer additional glimpses into the strange places we're creating.

And where appropriate, we intend to explore opportunities for these worlds to cross into our video and musical productions.

Because sometimes the most interesting monsters refuse to stay inside their own stories.

ONE BIG, BEAUTIFULLY HAUNTED FLOCO MEDIA FAMILY

Another major goal for 2027 is greater collaboration across the various creative groups operating under the FLOCO Media banner.

Wicked Whispers has always had its own distinctive personality, but we're fortunate to have access to a growing collection of artists, musicians, writers, performers, and creative talent.

Moving forward, we want to take greater advantage of those relationships.

Expect more appearances from familiar faces, more collaborations with other FLOCO Media projects, and more opportunities for our musical and literary worlds to intersect.

Allie Cat, Abbie, Sam, and the rest of our talented cast and crew will continue playing important roles in bringing these productions to life.

Some collaborations will be musical.

Others will be theatrical.

A few may involve fictional characters making decisions that would cause any reasonable person to flee the premises immediately.

We consider that a feature, not a bug.

Ultimately, our goal is to develop Wicked Whispers into something more than an annual Halloween album series.

We want to create a recognizable horror entertainment brand with its own music, mythology, characters, stories, and traditions.

Something that feels familiar to longtime Fantoms while offering new audiences plenty of opportunities to discover our particular brand of madness.

A FEW WORDS ABOUT OUR ANNUAL CHRISTMAS BREAK

Even monsters need a holiday.

As part of our regular production calendar, FLOCO Media will observe its annual Christmas break beginning around Thanksgiving and continuing through the start of January.

This gives our creative team time to step away from production, enjoy the holidays with their families, and return with fresh ideas for the coming year.

During this period, our regular production activity will be paused, although previously published content will remain available for your enjoyment.

We hope to finish several additional visualizers before that break begins, with our new release schedule getting underway in January.

As always, these are production targets rather than guarantees. We're an ambitious independent creative operation, and occasionally our monsters prove more difficult to manage than anticipated.

But the roadmap is set, the ideas are flowing, and our enthusiasm for what's coming next couldn't be greater.

TO OUR FANTOMS: THANK YOU FOR KEEPING THE LIGHTS OFF

Every year, you return.

You listen to our strange little songs.

You watch our ridiculous monsters.

You share our videos, follow our projects, and encourage us to keep creating things that probably should have remained locked in the basement.

And for that, we're genuinely grateful.

Wicked Beats VII represents another important chapter in our development, but we're increasingly excited about what lies ahead.

We're moving beyond the traditional Halloween release cycle and building something designed to entertain you throughout the entire year.

More music.

More monsters.

More animation.

More original stories.

More visualizers.

More music videos.

More haunted places to explore.

And, naturally, a few more things that go bump in the night.

As we venture into the long, dormant off-season, don't mistake the silence for inactivity.

Behind the boarded windows, the lights are still flickering.

Down in the laboratory, something is stirring.

And somewhere in the distance, something wicked is learning how to sing.

Halloween may be over, Fantoms.

But the nightmare is only beginning.

Stay spooky. Stay strange. And whatever you do...

DON'T LET THE DEAD GET BORED.

With wicked affection,

Wicked Whispers
