WICKED WHISPERS IS DEAD. LONG LIVE FRIGHTAINMENT!

Wicked Whispers becomes FRIGHTAINMENT. Wicked Beats becomes MIDNIGHT MAYHEM. And our entire Halloween music catalog is about to undergo a monstrous transformation.

Well, Fantoms...

We've done it.

After countless discussions, more rejected names than we care to admit, and enough creative brainstorming to give Frankenstein a headache, we're officially turning the page on one of FLOCO Media's most beloved projects.

Wicked Whispers is now FRIGHTAINMENT!

And our annual Halloween compilation series, formerly known as Wicked Beats, has a new name as well.

WELCOME TO MIDNIGHT MAYHEM!

Before anyone starts panicking, grabbing pitchforks, or digging through their digital music collections to see whether their favorite songs have vanished, relax.

The music isn't going anywhere.

Our artists aren't going anywhere.

And our beloved Fantoms certainly aren't going anywhere.

In fact, we're making some of the biggest improvements to our Halloween entertainment lineup since the project began.

So pull up a coffin, make yourself uncomfortable, and allow us to explain what's happening.

WHY WE'RE SAYING GOODBYE TO WICKED WHISPERS

When Wicked Whispers first emerged from the crypt, our objective was relatively simple: create entertaining, original Halloween music that embraced everything we loved about horror films, monster parties, creepy soundtracks, and the wonderfully ridiculous traditions surrounding October 31.

Over time, that little experiment grew into something considerably larger.

We expanded our annual compilations, brought new performers into the fold, experimented with increasingly elaborate productions, and began developing original music visualizers, animated shorts, and full-length music videos.

But as our project grew, we encountered a rather frustrating problem.

Our name wasn't particularly distinctive.

The internet, especially YouTube, has become saturated with similarly named Halloween projects, automated music channels, mass-produced horror content, and an increasing collection of low-effort AI-generated entertainment.

Trying to establish a recognizable identity in that environment has become something of an exercise in digging ourselves out of an algorithmic graveyard.

We don't object to creators using AI technology. Modern production tools are part of our own creative process, too.

What we object to is the growing culture of disposable content that emphasizes sheer volume over creativity, personality, storytelling, or originality.

Add the promotional advantages enjoyed by major entertainment companies, and independent creative operations like ours can struggle to get their work in front of new audiences.

We needed something recognizable.

Something memorable.

Something that could grow beyond music without losing its Halloween identity.

And after an extensive search, we finally found it.

FRIGHTAINMENT.

A little fright.

A little entertainment.

And a whole lot of monstrous fun.

INTRODUCING FRIGHTAINMENT: WHERE HORROR COMES TO PLAY

Frightainment represents the next evolution of our horror entertainment operation under the FLOCO Media banner.

While Wicked Whispers began primarily as a Halloween music project, Frightainment is being developed as a year-round destination for horror-themed entertainment.

Our expanding creative lineup will encompass original music, theatrical visualizers, animated horror shorts, live-action productions, supernatural storytelling, cast interviews, behind-the-scenes features, and collaborations with other FLOCO Media divisions.

That includes FLOCO & Ink, our official publishing imprint, which is developing original horror fiction through projects such as the Netherverse and Shiverwood.

Frightainment gives us the flexibility to explore all these creative directions under one recognizable identity.

We're not simply renaming a music channel.

We're building a home for the monsters.

And while the name has changed, the personalities and artists you've come to know remain exactly where they belong.

Allie Cat, Abbie, Sam, and our other talented performers will continue contributing to our productions under their existing artistic identities.

Frightainment is the entertainment brand that brings these projects together, not a replacement band or a new musical group.

We also have some good news for our longtime audience.

You're still our Fantoms!

We couldn't imagine calling you anything else.

WICKED BEATS BECOMES MIDNIGHT MAYHEM

Our second major announcement concerns the annual Halloween compilation series.

For seven installments, Wicked Beats served as our musical celebration of monsters, murderers, supernatural mischief, and Halloween party madness.

That tradition isn't ending.

It's evolving.

Beginning with our newly rebranded catalog, the series will officially be known as:

MIDNIGHT MAYHEM

The numbering will remain intact, preserving the history of our previous releases.

That means Wicked Beats I becomes Midnight Mayhem I, Wicked Beats II becomes Midnight Mayhem II, and so forth.

Our most recent release, Wicked Beats VII, will carry forward as Midnight Mayhem VII.

And our next major album, Midnight Mayhem VIII, remains scheduled for September 15, 2027.

But changing the name is only the beginning.

We're also changing how the albums themselves are created.

EVERY ALBUM WILL BECOME ITS OWN HORROR EXPERIENCE

One of our most ambitious goals is to transform Midnight Mayhem from a collection of Halloween songs into a series of theatrical horror listening experiences.

Think of an old-fashioned 1970s or 1980s horror movie special, complete with a sinister host, unsettling atmosphere, strange interruptions, memorable monsters, and the occasional wonderfully inappropriate joke.

Now imagine turning that experience into an album.

That's the direction we're heading.

Each future Midnight Mayhem release will revolve around a featured horror personality or theme, providing the creative foundation for its artwork, musical selections, atmospheric sound design, and narrative presentation.

Our target format will include approximately:

  • 13 themed musical tracks, delivering the energetic, theatrical, and occasionally outrageous Halloween music our Fantoms have come to expect.

  • 8 atmospheric and sound-effects tracks, establishing locations, building suspense, and connecting the musical performances.

  • 2 narrative backstory tracks, exploring the history, mythology, or twisted motivations of the featured horror icon.

That gives us approximately 23 tracks per album (sometimes 26 tracks), with additional narrated introductions, interludes, transitions, and outros incorporated into the overall experience.

Some albums will lean heavily into comedy.

Others will be darker, more theatrical, or genuinely unsettling.

But every installment will have its own personality.

The objective is simple:

We want you to experience the nightmare, not merely listen to its soundtrack.

REIMAGINING MIDNIGHT MAYHEM I–VI

Now for another major surprise.

We're going back to the beginning.

Throughout 2027, we'll be revisiting the first six installments of our Halloween compilation series and reimagining them under the new Midnight Mayhem identity.

These won't simply be old albums with new covers slapped onto them.

We're reviewing the creative structure of each release and developing expanded versions designed to better reflect our new direction.

Depending on the album, these updates may include newly recorded tracks, revised track sequencing, additional atmospheric compositions, sound-effects interludes, voice performances, narrated introductions, character dialogue, and expanded storytelling.

Some familiar songs may receive updated presentations or be repositioned within the album to strengthen the overall listening experience.

Others may be retired from the main track listings to make room for new material.

Our objective is to retain what made these albums enjoyable while transforming them into more cohesive, theatrical experiences.

And because each album already has its own featured horror personality, we have a tremendous amount of creative material to work with.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE SONGS WE REMOVE?

We're glad you asked.

Because this is where things get particularly interesting.

During the reimagining process, some older tracks will inevitably be removed from the main album lineups.

That doesn't mean we think they're bad songs.

Sometimes a track simply doesn't fit the revised narrative, atmosphere, or musical direction of a particular release.

In other cases, we may replace a song with something newer, stronger, or more appropriate for that album's featured horror personality.

But we're not interested in permanently burying our creative history.

Instead, we're creating a special home for the discarded material.

WELCOME TO THE VAULT.

THE VAULT — WHERE RETIRED TRACKS NEVER REALLY DIE

Beginning as early as December 2026, FLOCO Media plans to introduce The Vault, a special archival album and downloadable music collection hosted directly through the official FLOCO Media website.

The first version will feature previously pruned tracks that currently have no permanent home in our active music catalog.

As we continue reimagining Midnight Mayhem I–VI throughout 2027, additional songs removed from those albums will be transferred into The Vault.

Think of it as our own haunted music archive.

A final resting place for songs that may no longer fit their original albums but still deserve to be heard.

Except, unlike most graveyards, we're happy to let you take the occupants home.

HOW THE VAULT WILL WORK

Our goal is to make these archival tracks available through an automated download system on the FLOCO Media website.

As new material is added to The Vault, Fantoms will be able to visit the website and download the available collection without having to contact us individually.

The Vault is intended to grow over time, preserving material from earlier productions and providing longtime listeners with an opportunity to explore the musical history of Frightainment.

It also gives our creative team greater freedom to improve the main albums without permanently sacrificing songs that some listeners may still enjoy.

Of course, we're not promising that every recording ever created will automatically become available. Final selections will depend on the material, distribution arrangements, and any applicable rights or licensing requirements.

But our intention is clear.

If a finished track is retired from a Midnight Mayhem album and we're able to make it available, The Vault will be its new home.

And we suspect some of our most dedicated Fantoms will enjoy discovering these forgotten monstrosities just as much as our newer productions.

WHAT ABOUT ALBUMS YOU ALREADY PURCHASED?

Here's another important point.

If you've already purchased our music, we're not asking you to buy it again simply because we're changing names.

Previously downloaded copies remain yours.

For albums held in digital music libraries and streaming services, we'll be coordinating the necessary updates through our distribution channels as the transition progresses.

Our goal is to preserve continuity for existing listeners wherever the platforms allow it.

Because the upcoming reimagined editions will contain additional material and revised track listings, their availability and treatment may differ from a simple metadata update.

We'll communicate those details as each revised album approaches release.

The important thing is that we're not abandoning the music or the listeners who supported the original releases.

We're expanding what we've built.

MIDNIGHT MAYHEM VII AND BEYOND

While much of 2027 will be devoted to refreshing our earlier catalog, we're also moving forward with new productions.

Midnight Mayhem VII will continue representing our most recent Halloween release, with additional visualizers and supporting video content planned.

Then, on September 15, 2027, the eighth installment arrives.

MIDNIGHT MAYHEM VIII — MAIME & HUSH

This release will introduce our homicidal mime duo, Maime and Hush, in a theatrical horror-comedy experience inspired by the wonderfully outrageous spirit of classic slasher entertainment.

Expect a distinctive black, white, and blood-red identity, along with the expanded narrative and atmospheric structure we're developing for the series.

And we're already looking beyond 2027.

Each will have its own identity, storytelling, and musical personality.

The future is looking delightfully dreadful.

MORE THAN ALBUMS: THE FUTURE OF FRIGHTAINMENT

The rebranding also arrives alongside our previously announced expansion into year-round horror entertainment.

Beginning in January 2027, we're targeting two new music visualizers and approximately four original Shorts per month, supplemented by larger productions and special features.

Our longer-term goals include at least five full-length music videos ahead of the September release, new animated productions, and the development of our supernatural storytelling series, Spooky Tales.

We also have exciting collaborations planned with FLOCO & Ink, including the anticipated October 2027 releases associated with the Netherverse and Shiverwood fiction projects.

The Midnight Mayhem reimagining is only one part of this larger creative transformation.

Our aim is to make Frightainment a destination that Fantoms can enjoy throughout the year, not merely during the Halloween season.

Of course, our production calendar remains subject to the usual realities of independent entertainment development.

Sometimes monsters don't cooperate.

Sometimes animations take longer than expected.

And sometimes someone forgets to lock the crypt.

We'll manage.

A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS

Looking back, Wicked Whispers accomplished something important.

It gave us a place to experiment, develop our creative identity, introduce new musical talent, and begin building an original collection of Halloween entertainment.

Without those early albums and all the trial and error that accompanied them, Frightainment wouldn't exist.

We're grateful for that history.

But we're also excited to move beyond it.

The new identity gives us room to grow creatively, strengthen our production standards, and establish a more recognizable home for our music, movies, animation, and horror storytelling.

Midnight Mayhem gives our annual compilations an opportunity to become something more distinctive than traditional Halloween playlists.

And The Vault gives us a way to preserve the music that helped bring us this far.

To everyone who has followed us, purchased an album, watched a video, shared a track, or simply stopped by to enjoy a little Halloween madness...

THANK YOU.

You're the reason we keep creating.

The old name has been laid to rest.

The crypt has been renovated.

And the monsters have a brand-new place to play.

GOODBYE, WICKED WHISPERS.

FAREWELL, WICKED BEATS.

WELCOME TO FRIGHTAINMENT.

WELCOME TO MIDNIGHT MAYHEM.

And remember, Fantoms...

THE DEAD DON'T TAKE VACATIONS.

Stay spooky!
