ACRE RETURNS TO THE ALTAR: A NEW CHAPTER IN FAITH, MUSIC, AND WORSHIP

FLOCO Music Announces ACRE's First-Ever Praise & Worship Album, Arriving November 11, 2026 — Ahead of the Heavy-Metal Epic MORTIS on December 2
FLOCO Media Newsroom | November 2026
Two albums. Two very different journeys. One unwavering faith.
For years, ACRE has forged its identity through thunderous guitars, unflinching Christian conviction, and heavy-metal anthems confronting the darkness of a fallen world.
But even the fiercest warrior must occasionally lay down his sword, kneel before the altar, and remember whom he serves.
This November, ACRE is doing exactly that.
FLOCO Music proudly announces ALTAR, ACRE's first-ever praise and worship album, arriving November 11, 2026, on major streaming platforms.
And before anyone begins wondering whether ACRE has gone soft, don't get too comfortable.
On December 2, 2026, the band returns with MORTIS, an uncompromising heavy-metal journey through a brutal fictional war of faith, sacrifice, and fury against evil.
Between these two musical extremes lies something ACRE believes has been missing from its catalog.
Balance.
✝️ ALTAR: BEFORE THE BATTLE, THERE IS PRAYER
ACRE has never been particularly interested in making quiet music.
Our sound has traditionally embraced the thunder of heavy guitars, pounding percussion, and the uncompromising intensity of Christian metal.
But Christianity isn't simply about confronting evil.
It is also about humility, gratitude, surrender, worship, and the recognition that every victory begins and ends with God.
ALTAR is ACRE's opportunity to explore that side of the faith.
For the first time, the band steps deliberately into praise and worship, creating an album centered on prayerful reflection, reverence, and the glory of Christ.
Listeners can expect a different musical atmosphere from ACRE's traditional releases, with greater emphasis on melody, contemplation, and the spiritual message behind each composition.
That doesn't mean the band has abandoned its identity.
The familiar edge remains where the music calls for it.
But on ALTAR, intensity serves worship rather than the other way around.
Not every act of faith requires a battle cry. Sometimes it begins on your knees.
⚔️ MORTIS: THE WAR RETURNS DECEMBER 2
If ALTAR represents the sanctuary, MORTIS represents the battlefield.
Arriving just three weeks later, MORTIS returns ACRE to its traditional heavy-metal ferocity in one of the band's most ambitious projects to date.
Set within our fictional Christ Hammer universe, MORTIS follows an apocalyptic struggle against corruption, despair, and the forces of Chaos.
It is a world of desperate resistance, spiritual trials, sacrifice, and warriors whose faith is tested in the fires of war.
Musically, expect the full force of ACRE: crushing guitars, aggressive percussion, theatrical performances, epic compositions, and the kind of relentless intensity our heavier releases are known for.
But beneath the spectacle is a familiar Christian message.
Evil is real. Faith demands courage. And darkness does not have the final word.
Where ALTAR asks listeners to come before God in worship, MORTIS explores the perseverance required to remain faithful when everything around us is falling apart.
One album invites us to kneel.
The other challenges us to stand.
And both point toward the same ultimate victory.
🙏 TWO SIDES OF THE SAME FAITH
In developing these releases, ACRE recognized that a little balance between the extremes was overdue.
Christian life isn't an endless battlefield, nor is it a perpetual moment of quiet contemplation.
There are times for silence and prayer.
There are times for action, sacrifice, and courage.
And there are times when the greatest expression of strength is knowing when to kneel before the Lord.
ALTAR and MORTIS explore these complementary dimensions of faith through two radically different musical experiences.
Neither diminishes the other.
In fact, we believe each makes the message of the other considerably stronger.
After all, the Christian warrior does not fight for the glory of battle.
He fights because there is something sacred worth defending.
And that sacred foundation begins at the altar.
🎸 WHAT'S NEXT FOR ACRE?
With these two releases, ACRE enters an exciting new chapter of its musical journey.
NOVEMBER 11, 2026 — ALTAR
Our first praise and worship album. A journey of reverence, spiritual reflection, and surrender to Christ.
DECEMBER 2, 2026 — MORTIS
An epic heavy-metal trial of faith and fury against evil, set within the fictional Christ Hammer universe.
Together, these projects represent two distinct expressions of the same uncompromising Catholic Christian identity that has always driven ACRE.
And for our longtime fans who prefer their music loud enough to shake the foundations of the earth, rest assured:
MORTIS will more than make up for the temporary peace.
🔥 THE FINAL WORD
There is a time to raise your voice in praise.
There is a time to stand against the darkness.
And there is wisdom in remembering that the strength to face the second comes from the humility of the first.
Before the sword, there is the Cross.
Before the battle, there is the altar.
Join ACRE on November 11 as we embark on a different kind of musical journey.
Then return on December 2.
Because the battle for MORTIS is about to begin.
