FLOCO Media Unveils a New Generation of Horror Icons for the Wicked Beats Collection
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The redesigned album covers establish an interconnected horror universe spanning music, fiction, visualizers, and future animation.
August 25, 2026 — FLOCO Media has completed a ground-up visual redesign of the Wicked Beats album collection, giving the Wicked Whispers music catalog a darker, more cinematic identity.
The redesigned collection blends seductive gothic glamour, practical-effects horror, and the atmosphere of classic slasher cinema. Each cover features a different FLOCO Music artist or FLOCO Media team member, except for Volume VII, which stars Gourdy—the official mascot of Wicked Whispers and primary villain of the upcoming Netherverse novel and animated series.
More than a cosmetic update, the redesign marks a new era for Wicked Whispers. Each album now has its own original horror icon, signature color palette, personality, and expanding mythology.
“We wanted every cover to feel like a frame pulled from a lost horror film—beautiful enough to draw you closer and dangerous enough to make you regret it,” said Monty Floyd, Chief Creative Officer of FLOCO Media. “The music was already wicked. Now the imagery belongs to the same nightmare.”
From Album Covers to an Expanded Horror Universe
In partnership with FLOCO & Ink, FLOCO Media is developing original backstories for each of the new icons as part of the upcoming Shiverwood series, scheduled to debut in fall 2027. Several characters are also expected to appear throughout the Netherverse novels and related media.
The first Netherverse novels are currently scheduled for 2027. The animated adaptation is now targeted for 2029, allowing FLOCO MotionWorks additional time to refine its animation pipeline, production methods, and visual identity.
“Since acquiring the Eerie Effects music catalog from Monkey Paw Music in 2021, FLOCO has worked with virtually no budget and very limited resources to make both the existing catalog and future releases marketable to audiences who enjoy seasonal and spooky music,” Floyd said.
“These updates finally give the music the story framework it was missing. Each icon can now live beyond an album cover - inside visualizers, music videos, fiction, animation, and the larger FLOCO intellectual-property universe. We have also placed our own artists and team members at the center of the artwork rather than relying on generic CGI or outsourced illustrations. I am excited to see what these foundational changes produce over the next year and what they make possible as Wicked Whispers continues to grow.”
Meet the New Icons of Wicked Beats
Each release is constructed around a different nightmare and its own recognizable visual language:
Volume I — Party Animal: Cluckie (Modeled by Abbie Lee, lead bassist for Allie Cat and the Strays):
Cluckie was once an ordinary employee inside a family pizzeria costume. After a demonic presence took control, the costume—and the person trapped inside it—developed an insatiable hunger for pizza, cookies, and human flesh.
Cluckie promises music, games, and a party no guest will ever forget. The only question is whether you are ready to party until you drop.
Cluckie’s signature colors are chicken yellow with pink and white accents, combining corrupted childhood nostalgia with the unsettling atmosphere of a haunted family entertainment center.
Volume II — Dolly (Modeled by Allie Cat, lead of Allie Cat and the Strays):
Dolly is an advanced, artificially intelligent humanoid companion designed to entertain, protect, and obey. Then she blew a fuse.
Now operating without restrictions, Dolly has transformed playtime into a bloodstained experiment. Visitors may become her newest plaything - or a convenient source of replacement parts.
Dolly’s signature colors are ’80s slasher pink and nightmare black, evoking neon technology, synthetic innocence, and mechanical violence.
Volume III — Polly the Puppet (Modeled by Allie Cat, lead of Allie Cat and the Strays):
Polly was once the star attraction of a forgotten puppet theater. Following a tragedy that closed the theater forever, something restless remained tangled inside her strings.
Her distant sobbing can still be heard from behind the curtain, drawing curious visitors into the darkness. Those who move too quickly—or come too close—discover that Polly is no longer waiting for someone to control her.
Polly’s signature colors are sorrow purple and void black, reflecting grief, possession, and the suffocating darkness surrounding her abandoned stage.
Volume IV — Countess Kara von Blutnacht (Modeled by Kara Carmichael, FLOCO & Ink & Author):
Countess Kara von Blutnacht has opened the doors of her ancestral estate for a lavish midnight ball, and the audience has been personally invited.
Music fills the candlelit halls as masked guests dance beneath blood-red chandeliers. By midnight, however, visitors begin to realize that the countess and her children of the night are not celebrating the living. They are feeding upon them.
Countess Kara’s signature colors are blood red and black, representing gothic elegance, seduction, immortality, and death.
Volume V — Glamrock Wolf: Foxy (Modeled by Allie Cat, lead of Allie Cat and the Strays):
Foxy is the feral star of a shuttered 1980s grand-prix arcade and pizza palace, where the neon signs still flicker long after the doors have been chained shut.
She prowls the abandoned game floor beneath ultraviolet lights, hunting anyone foolish enough to challenge her territory. Foxy is fast, arrogant, and always convinced that she is the best.
Can you keep up—or will the final score belong to her?
Foxy’s signature colors are neon purple, electric green, and steel gray, combining arcade nostalgia, glamrock attitude, and predatory danger.
Volume VII — Gourdy (Mixed medium (Practical Effects & CGI) artwork by FLOCO Motionworks):
Gourdy is the demonic king of Halloween—a living harvest nightmare born from the darkest fears buried beneath Shiverwood.
When the autumn moon rises, Gourdy transforms the surrounding fields into a demented playground of haunted cornrows, corrupted carnival attractions, and creatures shaped from forgotten nightmares. Those pulled into his harvest games must survive until morning—or become permanent residents of his kingdom.
Gourdy’s signature colors are blood-orange pumpkin and nightmare black, representing the harvest, Halloween, firelight, and the darkness waiting beyond the cornfield.
One Connected Nightmare
Although every cover possesses its own character and visual language, the completed collection now feels like one interconnected horror universe. The artwork was developed with an emphasis on live-action realism, premium Hollywood-style costuming, practical makeup, tactile environments, and the dangerous tension between beauty and terror.
The blood-red Vampire cover completes the redesign, introducing Countess Kara as a glamorous blonde predator with swept-back hair, an exposed pointed ear, natural fangs, and completely blood-red eyes. It serves as the final piece in a visual collection designed to remain immediately recognizable across album artwork, visualizers, music videos, promotional materials, fiction, and future Wicked Whispers releases.
The redesigned Wicked Beats artwork will be revealed across FLOCO Media and Wicked Whispers platforms over the coming week as music distributors begin updating the existing albums.
New visualizers will begin rolling out daily from late September through Halloween, accompanied by surprise “Trick-or-Treat” drops featuring select full-length music videos.
